‘Dublin Winter Lights’ returns to Merrion Square Park 2022

The lighting installations will run from December 1st to December 22nd.
Dublin City Council is delighted to announce the return of the dazzling ‘Dublin Winter Lights’ to Merrion Square Park.

‘Dublin Winter Lights’ at Merrion Square will transform this historic urban park into a magical winter walk with lighting, projection, live characters and interactive elements to delight the whole family.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Caroline Conroy says, “I am delighted to see the return of Dublin Winter Lights at Merrion Square Park. Almost 40 thousand people came last year, which was the first year of the event, so I’m expecting even more people to turn up this time. If you didn’t get a chance to see the lights last year, you’re in for a treat. So come along and feel the magic this festive season!”

A 15m high Christmas tree will be fully projected with magical images and hundreds of LED lights will shine bright throughout the park. In addition Christmas FM will be broadcast in the park for the event.

Tickets are limited to a maximum of 4 adult tickets per person. Entry will start from 5pm each evening, with the last admissions at 9pm. There is a €2 euro per adult booking charge. Each adult ticket admits two children.

The money raised will be used to help fund a Mobile Sensory Unit for future Dublin City Council events. All tickets can be purchased at www.dublinwinterlights.ie

From 5pm to 5.30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings will be reserved for Relaxed Viewing Tickets.
